Adam Smith Conferences’ 3rd Annual Ukrainian Investment Summit, which opened in London today, has aroused an “unprecedented response,” the summit’s organizer announced on its web site.

The event, “Affirming Ukraine’s place in the global economy,” will last for two days, and on Wednesday a Ukrainian Energy Summit will be held, called in the announcement an “exciting new feature” for this year’s Ukrainian Investment Summit.

“Record numbers of registrations have been received, cementing its [the summit’s] reputation as the largest international investment gathering for Ukraine,” the announcement reads.

Speakers at the event include key Ukrainian and international officials, top managers of leading international investors and Ukrainian corporations, and representatives from renowned financial institutions, according to the web site.

The last year’s Second Ukrainian Investment Summit gathered over 500 participants from 22 countries.

On its web site, the Adam Smith Institute – “independent, non-party and non-partisan” – claims to be “Britain's leading innovator of market economic policies,” “part of a worldwide movement towards free markets and free trade.”
