The Ukrainian Land Market is an independent analytical news portal that gathers the most interesting and useful information on the broad scope of questions regarding formation and development of the land and real estate market in Ukraine.

Founded in 2005, the Center for Foreign Investment Promotion (CFIP) is Ukraine’s investment development agency. The mission of CFIP is to be Ukraine’s foremost organization for attracting and supporting foreign direct investment through promotion, investor services, and effective policy advocacy.

CFIP provides the following services to current and prospective foreign investors free of charge:

  • Information about investment opportunities, incentives, and investing in Ukraine
  • Information about registering a business in Ukraine
  • Information about potential partners, vendors, operational costs, and access to infrastructure in Ukraine
  • Liaison with Ukrainian government officials
  • Introduction to regional and local agencies and organizations
  • “Aftercare” services to facilitate implementation of investment projects 

The Center was designed to provide professional services to the foreign investor to exploit the numerous investment opportunities in Ukraine.

The Municipal Budget Reform (MBR) Project (www.mbr-ukr.org)

The mission of the MBR Project is to increase local budget transparency, efficiency, and accountability to citizens through:

  • Improving municipal budget management in at least 140 cities; and
  • Strenghething municipal budget autonomy through focused legislative assistance to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization “Municipal Development Institute” (http://www.mdi.org.ua/eng/)

The mission of the Municipal Development Institute is to carry on charitable activities for the public interest by fostering municipal development and social-economic reform of the public utilities sector in Ukraine through comprehensive organizational, informational, educational, methodological, material, financial, and technical assistance.

The major objectives of the organization are to further the following:

  • Public education on, and awareness of, the situation and problems in the domain of municipal development and public utilities;
  • Dissemination of developed democratic countries’ experience in municipal development and public utilities sector reform;
  • Public involvement in the making of local policies and decisions that may entail an environmental impact;
  • Environment protection activities of environmental NGO’s and other interested parties;
  • Collection, study, generalization, and dissemination of information on best practices and advanced technologies in the public utilities sector;
  • Development and implementation of municipal social-economic development plans.

The Municipal Development Institute was founded in June 2004 by a team of the USAID Tariff Reform and Communal Service Enterprises Restructuring Project in Ukraine implemented by PADCO, a consulting firm based in Washington, DC, to roll out the program to more Ukrainian cities after the project completion.

The Municipal Development Institute has regional offices in 13 Ukrainian oblasts and in the city of Kyiv.
