Business Attitude Survey: Business Attitude Surveys (“BAS”) are based on aggregate data compiled from interviews with enterprises working in Ukraine. The interviews cover basic information about a firm’s operations, including size, output, costs and markets, a firm’s plans for the future, including investment plans, and a firm’s impressions of the locations they work in, including workforce and local government. A BAS is performed for a municipal territory, and, in this website, is presented individually by city or aggregated with other data from other cities.

Base-line Study: We offer for your attention a study of local economic development in Ukraine. The study, performed in 2005 by the Institute of Reforms, an economic think tank, creates a nation-wide picture of local economic development, based on data from 174 cities of oblast significance with populations between 30,000 and 150,000, and 20 oblast capitals with less than 1 million residents. The study rates these cities on the basis of a number of economic factors, and offers a basic, general economic profile of each city it has considered. This data base is offered as a detailed first glance for businesses looking for site location possibilities throughout Ukraine, and for local economic development professionals interested in examining the comparative stature of Ukraine’s diverse cities.
