The Volyn Regional Office of the International Chamber of Commerce Ukrainian National Committee (ICC Ukraine) was opened in Kovel on Feb. 3, 2006
The office will be located in the premises of the Business Center “Soft” within the Kovel Region Entrepreneurship Support Fund. Director of the business center, Petro Myakota, was appointed ICC Ukraine authorized representative in the Volyn Oblast.
Major tasks of the ICC Ukraine include dissemination in Ukraine of modern business standards, rules and ethics, effective protection of Ukrainian producers’ interests at external markets, regional-level implementation of investment projects, protection of intellectual property rights, etc.
The inauguration ceremony in the City Hall featuring ICC Ukraine Vice President Viktor Kosarchuk and Kovel Mayor Yaroslav Shevchuk was attended by representatives from local and oblast authorities, as well as financial and industrial circles.
The event wound up in the signing of trilateral agreement on cooperation among the city government, the oblast authorities, and the ICC Ukraine.
